Ariana Grande Reveals Full 'Eternal Sunshine' Tracklist

Ariana Grande recently released a new single, “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” from her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, along with an accompanying video.

In the video, Grande plays a character named Peaches, who plans to undergo a procedure to remove all memories of her ex (played by Evan Peters).

“I don’t wanna tiptoe but I don’t wanna hide / But I don’t wanna feed this monstrous fire / Just wanna let this story die / And I’ll be alright,” Grande sings in the song’s opening verse.

She also questions if she can become friends with someone with whom she was previously in love. “But I don’t wanna bite/my tongue yeah I think I’d rather die,” she sings. “You got me misunderstood but at least I look this good.”

The visual recounts the happier and intimate memories the pair shared. Finally, the two are seen passing by each other, holding hands with their new partners.

Grande co-wrote the song with Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh.
