Toxic Releases Powerful New Album HOLY

Legendary Chicago producer Toxic, known for crafting hits that helped shape the sound of modern hip-hop and R&B, has officially released his highly anticipated new album HOLY — a project that blends street truth, spiritual reflection, and Chicago grit into one unapologetic body of work.

Born and raised on the West Side of Chicago, Toxic’s journey through music reads like a chapter of the city’s hip-hop history. From his early days battle rapping and navigating the realities of street life to becoming a multi-platinum, Grammy Award–winning producer, Toxic has built a legacy behind the boards that includes work with some of the biggest names in music.

His production resume includes contributions to artists such as Twista, Keyshia Cole, Syleena Johnson, Cardi B and Danny Boy, helping shape chart-topping records and timeless R&B classics.

But HOLY is different.

This project is deeply personal — a reflection of Toxic’s life, survival, and evolution. “This album is real life,” Toxic explains. “Chicago raised me. The streets taught me. God kept me. HOLY is about the journey — the mistakes, the wins, the scars, and the grace.”

The album delivers gritty storytelling layered over powerful production, capturing the tension between street reality and spiritual awakening. It’s a sound that feels both classic and current — unmistakably Chicago. The project also serves as a cultural statement for the city that raised him. “Chicago built me,” Toxic says. “Westside raised me. I’m just telling the story the way it happened.” The release of HOLY was celebrated with an exclusive album launch and birthday celebration in the Chicagoland area, bringing together artists, industry insiders, and fans to experience the music firsthand.

With the album now officially available on all major digital platforms, Toxic is preparing for the next phase of the rollout, including media appearances, DJ servicing, podcast interviews, community outreach, and youth assemblies throughout Chicago. Beyond the music, Toxic hopes the project will inspire the next generation. “I want young people to see that your story doesn’t have to end where it started,” he says. “You can come from the streets and still build something powerful.”

HOLY is available now on all major streaming platforms.
