in Entertainment

Cardi B has dropped a new single, “Like What (Freestyle),” sampling Missy Elliott’s 1999 classic “She’s a B**ch.”

“Classy and a c*nt/ Blocks and money gettin’ spunt/ Like, like what?/ Like a Coach bag, baby, this ain’t what you want/ If I ask for it, all I wanna hear is, ‘Yes’/ B**ch said she wanna be my opp, God bless,” Cardi raps in the first verse.

“Like What (Freestyle)” is accompanied by an official video directed by Cardi’s estranged husband Offset.

Cardi B announced on Wednesday that “Like What (Freestyle)” would arrive on Friday, March 1. “YA FOUND ME,” Cardi wrote on Instagram. “Like What freestyle FRIDAY.”

The post also featured the cover art for the track, in which the rapper has pearls, bows and flowers in her hair, pink-dyed eyebrows, and long white fingernails.

Just a few days ago, Offset publicly sent Cardi some encouraging words regarding her long-awaited sophomore album.

In the caption, he playfully told her to “stop being scary and drop the album” and hyped up her project by saying, “sh*t goes crazy.”

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting official news on Cardi’s yet-to-be-announced second album following numerous delays. Cardi’s debut full-length album, Invasion Of Privacy, arrived back in 2018.
