Dua Lipa has made history by claiming the top three spots on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart.
From No. 42 a week ago, Lipa’s “Illusion” made a big leap to No. 1 on the latest chart dated April 27.
The song, from her upcoming album Radical Optimism, earned 9.1 million official streams, 7.4 million in radio airplay audience and 2,000 sold in the United States in the tracking week ending on April 18, according to Luminate.
Two other songs from the album – “Houdini” and “Training Season” – follow “Illusion” at second and third on the chart, respectively.
With this, Lipa has become the first woman to sweep the top three positions in a single week.
“Illusion” marks Lipa’s third song to top the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, equaling the record of Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga for the most among women.
The third studio album by the English-Albanian singer, Radical Optimism is scheduled to be released on May 3 through Warner Records and marks her first studio album release since Future Nostalgia in 2020.
