Eminem Announces New Album 'The Death Of Slim Shady'

April 29, 2024
in Entertainment

Eminem recently took to social media to announce that he will release a new album, The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), this summer.

A viral video (featuring 50 Cent in a cameo) shared by the singer narrates how he meets his end and asks the question, “Who killed Slim Shady?”

50 Cent is seen saying that “he’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.” The visual features footage of the Detroit rapper, a blood-soaked knife, and a bearded Em in the hot seat.

“Through his complex, tongue twisting and oft criticized rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” explains the narrator of the parody program, “Detroit Murder Files.” “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics might have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.”

The upcoming album is the follow up to Eminem’s 11th studio album from 2020, Music to Be Murdered By, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, earning the singer his 10th consecutive leader.
