Little Big Town and Sugarland are set to perform together, sharing the stage for the first time in 15 years, at the upcoming CMT Music Awards on April 7.
When Little Big Town and Sugarland last shared the stage at the CMT Music Awards, they were joined by Jake Owen for a rendition of “Life in a Northern Town.”
Little Big Town released their debut, self-titled album in 2002. Their debut song “Don’t Waste My Time” reached No. 33 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart (now Hot Country Songs). They earned their first No. 1 on that chart in 2012 with “Pontoon” and have earned two more No. 1s on that chart: “Better Man” and “Girl Crush.”
The upcoming performance at CMT Music Awards will mark Little Big Town’s 13th at the awards.
For Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush, the upcoming performance at the CMT Awards will mark their first reunion since 2011.
Bailey Zimmerman, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, Jordan Davis (who teams with group NEEDTOBREATHE), as well as Old Dominion, Sam Hunt and Trisha Yearwood, are among the other acts set to perform at the upcoming CMT Awards event on April 7.
The CMT Music Awards will air from Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on CBS.
