Madonna has announced that she will perform an historic free concert in Brazilian capital Rio de Janeiro on May 4 at the majestic Copacabana Beach as the culmination of her universally praised The Celebration Tour.
The show will be free of charge as a thank you to her fans for celebrating more than four decades of her music over the course of the epic global run of the tour. It will also mark the best-selling female recording artist’s first show in Brazil since 2012.
No tickets are required for the event, but entrance will be applied on a first come first serve basis on the day of the event at Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel. The event will be broadcast live on TV Globo.
This will be the final show of Madonna’s world tour that was launched in London last October with a record six sold out shows at The O2.
Moving across 14 countries, the tour has received rave reviews by fans and critics.
The Celebration Tour continues in the coming days with stops in Houston, Atlanta, Austin and more.
Upcoming dates also include 3 nights in Miami at the Kaseya Center on April 6, 7 and 9, and a phenomenal five nights at Palacio De Los Deportes in Mexico City.
Bob the Drag Queen a.k.a. Caldwell Tidicue will perform as special guest across all dates on the global tour.
