Multi-Platinum pop icons New Kids On The Block have returned with their first new music in 11 years.
Following the news of the group recently signing a new global recordings agreement with BMG, New Kids On The Block’s eighth full-length studio album, Still Kids, is set to be released on May 17.
The album announcement comes alongside the release of their new lead single “Kids,” written and produced by David Stewart and Luke Batt. The group will made their world premiere performance of “Kids” on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Friday as a part of the show’s NKOTB episode takeover.
The album features 14 new tracks and is full of pop anthems, dance tracks, love songs, and grooves that will become fast favorites.
New Kids founding member Donnie Wahlberg, who co-wrote seven of the tracks on Still Kids, said, “It’s the most mature album we’ve ever made. Yet it’s the most fun and most comfortable album we’ve ever made. This album, more than any other, is bringing the New Kids and the fans full circle. It’s about hope and possibilities and being ourselves.”
Joey McIntyre co-wrote another six tracks.
Reimagining the smash 1990 tour of the same name, New Kids On The Block will celebrate the new album and classic hits across the country on their upcoming Magic Summer 2024 Tour. The 40-plus date concert tour kicks off on June 14 with special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
