in Entertainment

Parker McCollum has earned his third leader on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart thanks to “Burn It Down”.

“Burn It Down” soared from the 6th spot to No. 1 in its 44th week on the survey dated April 13. The song earned 27.5 million audience impressions, up 17%, according to Luminate.

“Burn It Down” was co-written by McCollum along with Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose, while Jon Randall produced the song. The song is the sophomore single from McCollum’s LP, Never Enough.

The song is about a person ending a relationship with a former significant other and removing everything that brings to mind the good times they had together.

An official music video was released on May 12, 2023. Directed by Dustin Haney and filmed in the desert of New Mexico, it opens with McCollum wandering in the desert.
