Rihanna Performs At Billionaire's Wedding In India

March 6, 2024
in Entertainment

Rihanna performed at a billionaire’s wedding in India over the weekend, marking the Barbadian superstar’s first full-length concert in eight years.

The pop singer was reportedly paid at least $6 million to perform at the private celebration of the wedding of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Indian billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani, and his bride-to-be, Radhika Merchant.

The event took place in Ambani’s hometown of Jamnagar, Gujrat. According to Setlist.fm, Rihanna’s setlist consisted of 19 songs and included performances of “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Wild Thoughts,” “Rude Boy,” Work,” “We Found Love,” “Umbrella,” Stay,” and “Diamonds.”

“I’m here tonight in honor of Anant and Radhika, thank you for having me here. God bless your union, I wish you all the best, congratulations,” Rihanna said onstage. “How many of you believe in love? Make some noise for love right now.”

Although Rihanna headlined the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show and also performed at last year’s Academy Awards, her appearance at Anant and Radhika’s wedding marked her first full-length concert since November 2016.

Ambani previously spent over $100 million for Anant’s sister Isha’s wedding in 2018, which included a private performance from Beyonce.
