Tyla’s Water has jumped to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs Chart dated April 6.
Earning 10.3 million official U.S. streams in the tracking week ending on March 28 helped “Water” rise from No. 4 to the top of the chart.
The song also improved its ranking to No. 4 on the R&B Streaming Songs chart, while it held on to No. 6 on the Pop Airplay chart.
“Water” is a song from the Grammy winning South African singer’s debut studio album Tyla, which was released on March 22.
The self-titled album debuted at No. 2 on the Top R&B Albums chart with 24,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week.
Besides “Water,” five more tracks from Tyla are ranked on the latest Hot R&B Songs chart. They are, “Truth or Dare,” “Art,” “No. 1,” featuring Tems, “Jump,” with Gunna and Skillabeng, and “Safer.”
Meanwhile, “Water” continued its dominance on the Afrobeats chart for a 25th consecutive week.
