Ye, Ty Dolla $ign Announce 'Vultures' Listening Party At Egyptian Pyramids

Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign's 'Carnival' Rises To No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100

Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign announced via social media that a Vultures listening party will take place at the Step Pyramid of Djoser on April 20. The show is set to start at 8 PM (local time) in the Saqqara desert.

Travis Scott made an attempt last year to schedule a show at Egypt’s nearby Great Pyramid of Giza but had to scrap the plans due to “production issues” after the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate reportedly revoked his license to perform, citing “rituals” surrounding his artistic values that they believed contradicted Middle Eastern culture.

Only a few American artists have ever had the chance to perform at the pyramids, including the Grateful Dead in 1978 and Mariah Carey in 2010.
