Beyonce’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” debuted at No. 36 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart dated March 9, giving the singer her maiden entry on the list.
“Texas Hold ‘Em” marks Beyonce’s first placement on any of Billboard’s rock-based airplay lists (Adult Alternative Airplay, Alternative Airplay, Mainstream Rock Airplay and Rock & Alternative Airplay).
The Adult Alternative Airplay format reflects songs’ weekly plays on a panel of 50 adult alternative-formatted stations, with data provided to Billboard by Luminate.
The KVYN station in Napa Valley, California, played “Texas Hold ‘Em” 45 times on the Adult Alternative Airplay panel during the week February 23-29.
“KVYN decided to get on this Beyoncé track right away, mostly to support her musical evolution and dabbling in American roots music,” KVYN program director Nate Campbell told Billboard. “So far, it’s working in our rotation and we’re happy to have ‘Country Beyoncé’ in our mix.”
The song ranks No. 38 on Country Airplay, has advanced 28-16 on Adult Pop Airplay, 25-17 on Pop Airplay and 36-23 on Rhythmic Airplay. On Adult R&B Airplay the song has moved 28-24.
On Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, the song has climbed 40-32 and 36-32, respectively.
