Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has partnered with Epiphone for a new DG-335 signature model guitar.
Epiphone teased the release of the model on its social media on Monday (March 4), sharing a graphic resembling the diamond-shaped soundholes in Grohl’s Gibson signature model, and captioned the post: “This is your Call…” referencing the lead single of Foo Fighters’ 1995 self-titled debut album.
The collaboration pays tribute to Grohl’s legendary axe, which has accompanied him on tours around the world and comes in Pelham Blue, complete with a host of premium features.
The guitar combines the body of Grohl’s trusty ES axe with a one-piece mahogany neck with a C profile, a laurel fretboard, diamond inlays and a Trini Lopez-style headstock, which has Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners. The instrument features a Pelham Blue finish.
Epiphone says that the DG-335 is “one of the most requested models” in the brand’s history, and it’s currently available for purchase via Epiphone’s website. The guitar, priced at $1,299, comes with a Dave Grohl custom hardshell case.
