Mary J. Blige Bringing 'Strength Of A Woman Festival And Summit' To New York

Mary J. Blige has announced that the third annual edition of her “Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit” will take place on Mother’s Day Weekend (May 10-May 12) in New York.

A comedy show, featuring Tiffany Haddish, Don’t Call me White Girl, and Paris Sashay, is scheduled for May 10 at The Apollo Theatre.

The concert, scheduled for May 11 at Barclays Center, will feature performances by Blige, 50 Cent, Jill Scott, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Muni Long, Lola Brooke and Funk Flex.

A jazz concert by Robert Glasper will take place on the same day at the Blue Note Jazz Club. The “Strength of a Woman Summit,” hosted by Angie Martinez will also happen that day at The Glasshouse.

On May 12, Blige will host a Gospel Brunch at Brooklyn Chophouse in Times Square, which will be followed by a Gospel Concert by The Clark Sisters at Brooklyn Paramount.
