Radiohead’s “Creep” has joined the billion views club on the streaming service YouTube.
The clip has officially passed the 1 billion views mark, making it the first Radiohead video to reach the milestone.
“Creep” is the debut single by Radiohead and was released on September 21, 1992. It was included on Radiohead’s debut album, Pablo Honey (1993).
The track now joins several other ’90s videos with at least 1 billion YouTube views, including Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” Guns N’ Roses’ “November Rain,” AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters,” R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion” and The Cranberries’ “Zombie.”
The “Creep” music video was filmed at the Venue, Oxford. For the video, Radiohead performed a free short concert, playing “Creep” several times. They donated proceeds from audience members to the Oxford magazine Curfew, which had covered their early work.
