Ringo Starr Shares Video For 'Gonna Need Someone'

May 3, 2024
in Entertainment

Ringo Starr recently shared a music video for “Gonna Need Someone,” a song from his new project, Crooked Boy.

The video was directed by Johann Rashid and produced by Nick Ventura, with creative by Peter Savieri and additional cinematography by Sophie Hur and Nick.

It features Ringo and guitarist Nick Valensi, who plays on the song, and includes new footage, as well as footage from Ringo’s personal archives.

The video begins with Ringo saying, “Okay. Start the film!” “Gonna need someone, gonna need someone to love,” he sings in the chorus.

Linda Perry wrote all the songs on Crooked Boy, which was released on a limited-edition marble vinyl on Record Store Day, April 20, 2024, and arrived on DSPs on Friday (April 26).

“I love what Linda did and I think all the songs are all great but one thing I did ask her was to write me a rocker,” Ringo says. “And that’s ‘Gonna Need Someone’ and I love it!”
