Staind recently shared a new version of their song “Better Days’ featuring Dorothy.
The original version of the track appears on the multi-platinum-selling rock band’s album, Confessions of the Fallen, released in September 2023.
Dorothy Martin, the lead singer of the band Dorothy, performs the new version of the song with Staind lead singer and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis.
Speaking about the collaboration with Dorothy, Lewis said it was a departure for him.
“It’s really the first time Staind explored a feature with a female guest vocalist. Once we started tracking I could tell the synergy was there,” he said. “We didn’t have to pick harmonies, we didn’t have to analyze parts, they just happened. I’m stoked to have Dorothy on this single with me. Her talent and voice are incredible.”
According to Dorothy, she had “a great time tracking ‘Better Days.'”
“It’s a beautiful song and I hope fans connect with it,” she added.
“I’m so grateful to Aaron for the opportunity.”
“Lowest In Me,” another track from the album, topped Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
