Vampire Weekend Release New Single 'Classical'

March 18, 2024
in Entertainment

Vampire Weekend recently released a new single, titled “Classical,” along with an accompanying music video. The song is from the band’s upcoming 5th studio album, Only God Was Above Us, which is due out on April 5th.

Ezra Koenig wrote “Classical” and co-produced the track with longtime collaborator Ariel Rechtshaid.

Nick Harwood directed the music video, which features the band, Ray Suen, drum tech Josh Goldsmith, and producer Rechtshaid.

The video shows the band performing the song amidst clips of classical European architecture, featuring gothic churches, paintings that are centuries old, and Stonehenge.

Vampire Weekend previously released “Capricorn” and “Gen-X Cops” from the forthcoming album.
