Billy Idol To Release 40th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Of 'Rebel Yell'

Billy Idol is set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his sophomore album Rebel Yell by releasing a deluxe expanded edition of the record on April 26 via Capitol/UMe.

The collection, which will be available in two-LP, two-CD and digital formats, will feature several previously unreleased songs and demos, including the Idol original “Best Way Out of Here,” a cover of Rose Royce’s “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore” and a “Poolside remix” of the Top 5 hit “Eyes Without a Face.”

Rebel Yell, which was released in 1983, earned Idol superstar status, peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and selling more than 2 million copies in the U.S.

The record’s “Eyes Without a Face” rose to No. 4 on the Hot 100 chart. “Flesh for Fantasy” and the title track broke into Top 10 radio hits.
